where the eagles rise
"He who holds the Grayling holds the crown."
Justice. Mercy. Power. Choice.
Welcome to Epera, the Kingdom of Skies — where thoughts can be shared across miles, secrets are as dangerous as swords, and the fate of a kingdom rests in the hands of four unlikely heroes.
Inspired by the court cards of the Tarot's suit of Swords, this epic fantasy saga follows a Queen, a Page, a Knight and a King as they confront betrayal, forbidden magic, civil war, and the darkest corners of the human mind.
Begin with Petronella, a quiet scholar condemned for failing to provide an heir. Follow Dominic Skinner, an orphan gifted with extraordinary powers. Stand beside Joran, a reluctant ruler haunted by the sins of his father, as he struggles to balance justice with mercy.
Together, their stories weave a tale of courage, sacrifice, family, and redemption.
Perfect for readers who love character-driven fantasy, political intrigue, complex relationships, and immersive worlds where every choice carries a cost.
The Saga of the Swords is the first five-book series in Tales from the Tarot — a unique fantasy universe where the archetypes of the tarot come to life across four kingdoms.
